In 2021 I participated SculptJanuary to force myself to practice sculpting thoroughly.
I was lucky that nothing got in my way that month, so I was able to sculpt all 31 topics. Most in January, the last in early February...
"Vicious Nature" was the topic of SculptJanuary 2021 Day 28.
I wouldn't like to be alone in the elevator with this guy.
All Blender project starts from a cube...
But I had already sculpted for 27 days...all weekdays, Saterdays, Sundays, it never stopped!
The fatigue was already weighing heavily and I was a few days behind now...
...it felt like failure...I didn't feel like starting this day from a cube again, I had to go faster.
So I imported the head from day 17 ("Deep Wrinkles") one more time...
From this head I could get results faster...I wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible
and keep the lost time to a minimum...
With the Smooth brush I painted away all bumps and wrinkles as quickly as possible...
...and with the Grab brush I changed the proportions of the head...
...Thanks to the Mask brush, one can sometimes also achieve very fast results
(by keeping those zones temporarily free of influence)...
Without the Mask brush, some things would be much harder to reach...like this mouth for example...
...suddenly I had a head that unintentionally reminded me of Clint Eastwood...
From a cylinder on his head...
...I modeled a kind of stiff hat...
...thanks to the Sculpt tools it quickly looked like a real hat...a wide-brimmed cowboy hat.
Time for some color experiments...
...with some trial and error.
I turned a cone upside down...
...and sculpted a neckerchief out of it...
A folded fork between his teeth to reinforce his angry nature...
...and a broken droopy nose to make him meaner and less like Clint Eastwood,
because that was never my intention.
